The Service
Parent Partnership is a service which aims to:
- Explain to parents special needs procedures and processes
- Support parents/carer in understanding SEN documents
- Help parents/carers to express their views
- Put parents/carers in touch with voluntary organisations or parent groups which can help to support them and their child
- Identify opportunities for training to support parents/carers

The Work of the Service
We will work to:
- Provide parents/carers with information
- Provide support for parents/carer through volunteer Independent Parent Supports (IPS) where possible.
- Collaborate with other individuals and groups to strengthen partnership working with parents/carers
- Provide support for parents/carers to both express their views and in understanding documentation in relation to their child’s SEN
We will be committed to:
- Training and supporting IPS working with the Service
- Maintaining professional Standards
- Providing opportunities for IPS to gain transferable skills and experience
