Mission Statement

Sunderland Parent Partnership Service exists to improve the support and advice for parents and carers of children with special educational needs and enable them to play a more active role in their children’s education.

The Service

Parent Partnership is a service which aims to:-

• Explain to parents the special needs procedures and processes
• Support parent/carers in understanding SEN documents
• Help parent/carers to express their views
• Put parent/carers in touch with voluntary organisations or parent groups which can help to support them and their child
• Identify opportunities for training to support parent/carers
